We were delighted to be the main sponsors for The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run, which sees bikers travel 60 miles from Ford Dunton to Harwich. This year’s event saw more than 3,000 bikers take part, leaving in three groups and arriving in style at Harwich Green, which was jam-packed with trade stands, supporters and games.
It never fails to amaze us to see the overwhelming support that this charity receives. The team of dedicated volunteers and members of the EHAAT are incredible – we are proud to work with you to raise awareness and help where we can. It was a pleasure to once again have the opportunity to see the charity’s first purchased helicopter, the Agusta Westland 169.
The Essex & Herts Air Amubulance Trust is SVC Group’s Charity of the year and the Motorcycle Run is the third event we have been lucky enough to be part of following Strictly Air Ambulance, and the Celebration Event, hosted at Audley End House and Gardens – celebrating 20 years of saving lives and the launch of the charities new branded fleet.
Jen Wall, Volunteer and Events Manager for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, said:
“Despite challenging weather, it was a brilliant turnout for the charity. This event has been running for eighteen years now, and the support continues to grow.”
“Our relationship with the biker community is incredibly special, and it’s such a thrill to introduce new members of the community to this event every single year.”
“Our events wouldn’t be possible without help, so a huge thank you goes to our headline sponsors the Woodland Group and SVC, as well as everyone who helped on the day – from our police escorts to parking volunteers.”
Thank you for having us Essex & Herts Air Amubulance Trust (EHAAT) – we had a blast!
