SVC Group were proud sponsors of the Essex Air Ambulance Celebration Event at Audley End House and Gardens on Sunday 25th June.
Celebrating 20 years of saving lives and the launch of the charities new branded fleet.
The day from start to finish was a dream. Audley End was jam-packed with supporters and a sense of pride filled the air.
When the brand new helicopter appeared over the English Heritage mansion, we were left speechless. Tears of joy streamed down faces in the crowd. The helicopter’s reveal was a dream come true – the Charity’s first purchased helicopter: Agusta Westland 169.
The majority of the £6.5 million needed to purchase the helicopter was raised by public donations. It made the event so much more personal, it was our helicopter – the peoples helicopter.
Many visitors spoke to us about the team at Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust being more than a life-saving service – they were our super heroes. We were once again moved by the dedication and passion of the charity and its supporters.
‘Two decades ago the Essex Air Ambulance took its first tentative steps as an airbourne life-saving Charity. We have continued to evolve, growing into a bigger fleet, receiving more support than we could ever have dreamed all those years ago – including from our group of dedicated volunteers – and our former airlifted patients continue to inspire us every day by sharing their stories of bravery and recovery.’ – Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust
