Yesterday the SVC team was on hand to celebrate our new home and brand with a fun-filled day of networking, bubbly and canapés. We were joined by the Mayor of Colchester, Councillor Theresa Higgins – who cut the blue ribbon and officially opened our new building at 11:30am alongside CEO & Founder Amanda Simpson.
Adventurer, speaker, event host, television presenter, and author Sally Kettle came to present her story and left us all feeling motivated to do anything that we ever dreamed of. Sally Kettle is the first woman to row the Atlantic Ocean twice from East to West, once with her mother – earning a Guinness World Record. Sally’s account of rough seas, wild storms, emotional testing times and encounters with sharks evoked a whole range of emotions.
Professional magician, Lee Smith joined the team for the day and was a constant source of entertainment – performing mind-blowing card tricks and illusions. We are all still debating.. ‘how did he do it?’
Marketing Coordinator Louise set up the #SVCOPENDAY photo-booth and was over-the-moon with the results. It was fantastic to see our clients taking time out of their busy days to stop and have a bit of fun with the team. Local Business Funky Sweets done us proud, keeping the refreshments and canapés going throughout the entire event, Thank-you to Vanessa and the FS team for delivering first class service once again.
Thank-you to everyone that took part in our silent auction, we raised £470.01 for our chosen charity The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. Don’t panic if you didn’t hear anything today, our winners will be contacted before close of play tomorrow.
On behalf of all of us at SVC Group, thank you to all that came to celebrate with us yesterday. The event was an incredible success and it was fantastic to have the opportunity for the team to meet so many of you face to face. We hope you all enjoyed the day and much as we did. #rowharddigdeep
